Rules for the Use of Lockers

 

Preamble

These Regulations set out the general terms and conditions for the use of the automated lockers provided as part of the Bio Bairro Marketplace, funded by the Digital Commercial Neighbourhoods Programme under the Recovery and Resilience Programme (PRR). The aim of this service is to provide a convenient and secure delivery solution for purchases made via the Bio Bairro Marketplace. By using the lockers, users fully accept the terms of these Regulations.

 

1.Definitions

  • Bio Bairro: A digital marketplace platform managed by the Municipality of Idanha-a-Nova..
  • Automatic lockers: Physical facilities located in Idanha-a-Nova for the delivery of orders purchased via the platform.
  • User: A person who makes a purchase via the Marketplace.
  • Order: Items purchased on the Bio Bairro Marketplace.
  • Access Code: A unique code provided to the user to collect their order.

 

2.Access and Registration

1.To use the lockers, the user must provide the requested details. By providing these details, the user agrees to the Privacy and Data Protection Policy, which can be viewed on the Bio Bairro Marketplace.
2.The user must provide accurate and up-to-date information at the time of ordering.

 

3.How the Service Works

The lockers can be used for:

1.Delivery of orders placed via the Bio Bairro Marketplace.
2.Order Delivery: As soon as the order is placed in the locker, the user will receive a text message or email with an access code to collect it.
3.The user will have 1 (one) working day to collect the order. After this period, the order will be collected by the seller.
4.If the order is not collected, the user must contact the seller on the Marketplace to reschedule the delivery.

 

4.Use of Lockers

1.The lockers come in different sizes to accommodate various types of orders.
2.The user must ensure that orders are removed from the locker without causing damage to the structure.
3.If the seller detects any problem with the locker, such as faults or difficulties accessing it, they must immediately inform the support team via the contact details provided on the Marketplace.

 

5.Prices and Payment

Use of the lockers for collecting parcels is free of charge during the initial period of operation.

 

6.User Responsibilities

The user is responsible for providing correct information at the time of purchase and for ensuring that the parcel is collected.
The locker access code is personal and non-transferable. The user must ensure its confidentiality.
In the event of loss or misuse of the access code, the user must contact Marketplace support immediately.
The Municipality of Idanha-a-Nova guarantees the proper functioning of the lockers and accepts liability only for damage to, loss of, or misplacement of parcels resulting from the malfunction or defective operation of the lockers.
The Municipality of Idanha-a-Nova shall not be liable for delays in the delivery of parcels resulting from causes beyond its control, including force majeure, strikes or logistical problems.

 

7. Personal Data

Personal data collected for the use of the lockers will be processed in accordance with Idanha-a-Nova’s Privacy Policy, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Users have the right to access, rectify and erase their personal data; to do so, they should contact support via the channels indicated on the Marketplace.

9. Final Provisions

These regulations may be updated from time to time to ensure compliance with new legal provisions or to improve the service. Users are advised to consult the regulations regularly on the website.
The Municipality of Idanha-a-Nova reserves the right to suspend or discontinue the locker service, and undertakes to inform users in good time.
For any matter relating to the use of the lockers, the courts of the District of Idanha-a-Nova shall have exclusive jurisdiction, and any other jurisdiction is hereby expressly waived.
